In the old alchemy, gold was the sun's metal and silver the moon's, marked with a crescent. A house that works only in sterling is a house of the moon.
It shines by giving back the sun's. Silver is the most reflective of metals, and it does the same for the woman who wears it. She is the light; the silver returns it.
The moon is 92.5% lit two and a half nights before it is full: almost complete, with the brightest night still to come. That is the moon on our mark.
One piece opens on the night of the full moon and is gone by morning.
New pieces arrive on the new moon, when the house rests and begins again.
Every lid is printed with the moon of the night it was chosen. For a gift, a keepsake of that night.
